The history of the Depalo family is intertwined with the branches moved by the wind and the perfume of sea breeze. Heavy and illuminated by the sun, the olive trees are full of fruits. We are in Giovinazzo, Apulia, it is from here that the history of the Depalo family begins. Farmers since three generations, the love for the land runs through their veins. The founder of the Depalo family, the famous “grandfather Savino”, known throughout the city for its tenacity, laid the foundation stone in the last century. He was the one who taught his son Luigi how to listen to the Nature. Luigi, passionate and driven about his craft, barely more than a boy, inherits from his father a land with 150 olive trees. Now, after years of sacrifice and a lot of experience, there are more than 10 thousand olive trees in the land. Love for Nature and for a product that truly expresses Apulia pervades even Luigi’s son, Savino, who bears the name of his grandfather. With Savino, the third generation, the cultivation of olive trees is facing a new challenge: the production of an excellent extra virgin olive oil.
